Martina Geiger‑Gerlach

My work deals with socio-political topics and it is always about the humans. Where is the subtle power and freedom of art needed? How can art works for as many as possible? Can overwhelmingly complex questions of our time be reduced to an aesthetically essence? Can visual experiences advance a debate?

The performative Settings or pictures should appeal to a wide audience and they often work with the factor time. I present a current topic for discussion in the most inviting, unbiased and pragmatic way I find, so that the questions are distributed among diverse minds and capacities.
